Droplight Mod (1.20.5 – 1.19.4) Item Beam and Sound in Minecraft

Droplight Mod 1.20.5 – 1.19.4 for Minecraft. Firstly, it is a unique creation that focuses on the detection of dropped items. Most of the time, when the loot item is dropped it is hard to detect whether the item was rare or common. However, with the use of this tool, you can easily detect the item type and rarity. Moreover, it will also provide a specific sound that is most relevant to the item material.

Subsequently, there is one more feature of drop animation. Whenever an item will drop on the ground it will flip in the air and then it will drop. Enhance the drop experience by animating items to fly up into the air one by one, and spinning around when a mob is defeated. This creates a more dramatic effect and makes multiple drops feel more exciting and special. In addition to that, there are more than twenty different sound effects of dropping. What is Droplight Mod in Minecraft? To begin with, you can make rare items visually striking by adding special effects such as a beam of light and sparkles when they are on the ground. Furthermore, by default, the color of these effects corresponds to the item’s tooltip name color. Interestingly, all aspects of these visuals are fully customizable, including which items have beams and/or sparkles, and the color of specific items. Lastly, the default beam appearance is smooth, but there is also an option for a pixelated look to give a more blocky appearance. Screenshots:

Guide to adding Droplight Mod in Minecraft (Forge):

  • To get the mod working first you need to install Minecraft Forge, make sure it matches your game version.
  • Tip: Forge is an API that lets you run multiple Minecraft mods simultaneously without compatibility issues
  • After installing Forge, download and save the mod .jar file to your computer.
  • Now you need to open the Minecraft installation directory.
  • To do that, Open Minecraft launcher, click “Edit profile” and then click “open game dir” from the bottom.
  • Now open the “mods” folder, if you don’t find it, create one.
  • Drop the mod JAR file into the mods directory. Do not try to extract or unzip it.
  • Launch Minecraft using Forge profile. The installation will automatically continue.
  • Enjoy.

Guide to add Droplight Mod in Minecraft (Fabric):

Fabric is a Mod Loader as well as a toolchain (Java library) for installing and creating Minecraft mods for Release Versions and Snapshots. It’s an alternative to Forge API, which is still a stepping stone for enhancing gameplay through community-created mods. Fabric API is newer and lightweight compared to Forge, but it’s quickly updated with newer Minecraft versions and its mode base/quantity is increasing gradually. Fabric is also lightweight however it is still lacking behind in terms of compatibility while simultaneously running a different set of mods.

For player:

You can install Mods using Fabric Loader & API which comes with the automatic installer which creates profiles in Minecraft Launcher. Once you run the game once using newly created Launcher profile, then open %appdata%/.Minecraft and drop your favorite mod (.jar extension file) into the mods directory.

For developers:

If you are familiar with Java, there are extensive mod development guides and tools available to simplify the process. For example; Fabric Loom, Yarn, tiny-remapper, and Engima (for deobfuscation of Java bytecode). You can head over to the official wiki for more details.

Note: Fabric and Forge API mods cannot run together and will probably crash your Minecraft. Keep a copy of your save games before you experiment with the mods.
